- What insurance do you take?
We accept most insurance plans. However, as some insurance plans change on a monthly basis, please call our office and we will be happy to answer specific questions about your coverage.
- Do you allow same day appointments?
Absolutely. While it is always best to have an appointment to better ensure a visit with your regular doctor, we understand sickness usually doesn't wait to fit into your schedule.
- What if I become sick after hours?
A physician is always on call and can be reached at 828-883-5174. However, if you feel that you have a life-threatening emergency, please go directly to the nearest emergency room.
- How do I get a prescription refilled?
The best way is to bring all of your medications to your office visit so your doctor can write the appropriate prescription. If you are not due for an office visit, please ask for the nurse when you call our office. She will pull your chart and call you back within 24 hours to confirm the next steps.
- Up until what time can I have solid food if I am scheduled for a fasting lab?
To better ensure accurate test results, you should not eat solid food for at least 12 hours prior to your appointment. However, we do recommend drinking plenty of water to both avoid dehydration and hydrate your veins for blood work. Office hours for fasting labs start at 8am to get you in sooner.
